Angel City Angel City Black Joy Collection

I was commissioned by Angel City Football Club to design a shirt, hat and scarf for their Angel City Black Joy Collection. The themes of this collection are unity, creativity, elevation, growth and community.

I used the silhouettes of faces to bring a sense of humanity to the design and to represent the beauty interconnectedness; symbolizing community and unity. The symbols and patterns are inspired by Kente textiles.

I incorporated the Ananse Ntontan symbol which represents creativity, and a symbol for steps to represent elevation and forward movement. The color palette is earthy, warm and vibrant through the use of yellow and deep orange, anchored by the black and accented by the Angel City Sol Rosa pink.
